My name is Tiago Silva—known professionally as Tenebrous Nox. I am a dark art and conceptual photographer based in Portugal, specializing in imagery that captures the atmosphere, emotion, and depth beneath the surface.

While my core artistic identity is rooted in dark aesthetics, shadow play, and rich visual storytelling, my focus is always on bringing your unique project vision to life. My approach combines raw artistic emotion with a rigorous technical foundation. As an engineer by trade, I don’t just capture images—I understand the exact physics and mechanics behind them:

• Optics & Lighting: Mastered control over light, shadows, contrast, and atmosphere.
• In-Camera Artistry: Using physical textures, practical atmosphere (smoke, practical effects), and precise exposure to capture the raw energy in the camera rather than relying solely on heavy post-processing.
• Technical Reliability: Consistent execution, sharp attention to detail, and a structured workflow for seamless project delivery.

Experience & Background

My journey in professional photography began over a decade ago when I joined AMOL Magazine, an international fashion and photography publication. Working closely alongside lead photographer Pedro Cabral, I honed my skills in studio lighting, high-concept fashion photography, and collaborative publication work—managing creative projects with models, stylists, and international art contributors.

After taking time away to focus on other pursuits, I returned to the craft with renewed purpose, elevated technical skill, and a dedicated focus on client-driven photographic work.
